Calling All Cars – Dancing With A Dead Man

For Fans Of: Nirvana, Shihad, The Butterfly Effect.

Calling All Cars are back with their follow up from their highly acclaimed debut album ‘Hold, Hold, Fire’, titled ‘Dancing With A Dead Man’. Teaming up again with Tom Larkin (Shihad) and recording in their hometown of Melbourne. We all hope that Calling All Cars are not going to fall victim to the second album syndrome.

The album kicks off with the eerie, smokescreen that is ‘Redline’, which just builds even more anticipation for the rock to begin that fans have grown to love and expect. That’s when the first single off the album ‘Reptile’ escapes from the clouds and strikes the listener with a classic Calling All Cars rock song. Next up is the heavily influenced Nirvana track ‘No Sleep’, which will help those understand where the band gathered some of their sound. Other tracks such as ‘Worlds Collide’, ‘Autobiotics’, and ‘Throw Me To The Wolves’ are sure to make everyone happy. It is tracks such as title track ‘Dancing With A Dead Man’ and ‘The Desert Sun’ which sees the band slow things down from their usual fast paced, hard-hitting rock. The album closes with a heavy influenced Shihad track ‘Wait For War’, which leaves every fan craving more.

Dancing With A Dead Man’ is not ‘Hold, Hold, Fire’ part two. Album number two is still the Calling All Cars fans love but a little more polished and evolved into the form of Australia’s leading rock group. If you are yet to see their live show, you better make sure you buy tickets the next time they come to your part of town.
