Deez Nuts is the brainchild of JJ Peters from I Killed The Prom Queen. He has stepped up from the drum kit and taken the microphone firmly in his grasp. They play an almost unheard of style of music, hardcore with a hip-hop edge. If you haven’t heard this style of music before well they together like Every Time I Die and a cowbell. They have blown up to be one of the biggest local acts around, as well as gaining a strong European following. The reason for them gaining so much success so quickly is simple they kick arse.
The album’s message is pretty obvious since it’s the title ‘Stay True’. If you like to party, hang out with mates, rock out or just like to keep up with the latest trend, then this album is a must. Songs ‘Damn Right’ and ‘Like There’s No Tomorrow’ are sure to be songs to make everyone want to go party all night long. ‘I Hustle Everyday’ tells it how it is, you need money to survive. The production quality is outstanding. Every second of every song sounds more than solid. There is no doubt that Deez Nuts deserve their success with music full of hooks and sinkers.
