Heroes For Hire – Take One For The Team

For Fans Of: Blink 182, Set Your Goals, Paramore.

Take One For The Team’ is the second album from pop punk Sydney outfit Heroes For Hire. The group flew over to the United States and hired Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Sense Fail, From Autumn To Ashes) to lead them on the way of creating an album full of sing-a-longs and hooks.

It is always a bonus when the album artwork and booklet are enjoyable to look at and flick through, which is exactly the case for ‘Take One For The Team’. After the average pop punk fan is intrigued by the quality and thought put into the album artwork to purchase the album, they will not be disappointed when they push play and ‘No Milk Will Ever Be Our Milk’ blasts out of the speakers. A fast paced, sing-a-long track that brings back memories of watching Billy Madison (probably just because of the name). The first single off the album is ‘All Messed Up’, which includes “0hhh 0hhhs”, high pitched vocals, foot taping drums, and parts that will have the listener placing their arm around whoever is close to them and singing in their face. To list every song that includes an irresistible sing-a-long, influences from Blink 182 and Set Your Goals, would mean just copying and pasting the entire album track listing to this space. Heroes For Hire will definitely leave their mark on Australia, not just the East Coast, with ‘Take One For The Team

Heroes For Hire have released an album that they can tour across the country and venture overseas on the back off. ‘Take One For The Team’ is full of everything that fans of pop punk crave. This band is very close to claiming the Australian pop punk crown.
