Machete are a new punk/hardcore band spawning out of Adelaide. Their debut EP ‘Judgement’ is available for free download at http://www.rhysd.com/machete-judgement.html. Are there any more incentives needed to check them out…oh maybe the fact they kick major arse.
‘Judgement’ is a six song EP lasting just over 15minutes. Machete form their sound from influences such as Earth Crisis and Against. First track ‘Roses Fucking Suck’ includes every aspect of Machete. Fast, angry, honest hardcore, that at times treads softly on the razors edge of melody. One thing is for sure, Machete know how to build up to and deliver a breakdown.
Machete are a band that Australian fans of punk and hardcore would expect to be a part of the Pee Records roster. ‘Judgement’ is an impressive debut EP from a group of highly capable musicians. Machete is a name that will start to pop up across hardcore scenes around the country.

I just thought I might add that these boys manage to put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen. The music sounds just as good live as it does on recording and the vocalist Aedan certainly knows how to stoke the crowd. If you live in Adelaide and havent seen these guys you cannot classify yourself as a true fan of hardcore. Check em Out!!!
