For Fans Of: P.O.D., The Butterfly Effect, Stone Sour.
Thousand Needles In Red have arrived onto the Australian rock scene with loud guitars, soaring vocals, and a debut album that will reignite the flames that have been blown out by rock bands such as Birds Of Tokyo. ‘Empires’ was digitally released on September 16th, and is already climbing the charts.
Thousand Needles In Red created shockwaves throughout Australia with the release of their self tiled debut EP, and with the remarkable improvement on ‘Empires’ it will not only shake up the Australian rock scene but the overseas market as well. Clint Boge (The Butterfly Effect) and Tristan Bouillaut (Kill The Capitol) have proven to be a tag team with an undeniable cohesiveness. Nearly all the live favourites that fans have grown to crave are on the album, which include ‘Hold The Line’, ‘Marble Arc’, ‘Scars’, ‘Misery Everything’, ‘When You Go’, and the epic track ‘Into Eternity’. Unfortunately ‘Crawl’ and ‘Brand New Day’ did not make the cut, but with more than worthy replacements such as ‘Fire In The Sky’ and the beautifully catchy ‘Through The Looking Glass’ the void has been filled. The guitar onslaught that Trizo brings to the album is exactly what has been missing from the Australian scene with the demise of bands such as Sunk Loto, Full Scale, and Superheist. It is on the acoustic ballad ‘Darkness Meets The Day’ where Clint’s vocals really shine through and leaves his fans hoping to hear Final Days Of Autumn spring back into blossom in the near future. Recognition deserves to be given to those that work at Loose Stones Studios on the Gold Coast for the incredible work they have done on this album. ‘Empires’ is proof that Independent Australian music is in a league of its own.
‘Empires’ is a debut album produced by two musicians who are enjoying themselves and who have found a partner in crime for life. Thousand Needles In Red provide rock fans with music they can crank up and let loose to. The jump from their debut EP to ‘Empires’ is breathtaking.
