Trust And Fall – Elusive Days

For Fans Of: Bodyjar, Skyway, 28 Days.

The Gold Coast is not just the place teenagers flock to after high school to get drunk and pass out on the beach. Promises, Skyway, Electric Horse, Widow The Sea, Mourning Tide, to just name a few are bands that call the Gold Coast home. New punk rock kids on the block Trust And Fall have just released their debut EP ‘Elusive Days’. Are they soon to be added to that list of impressive bands?

‘Elusive Days’ starts off with a snippet from the classic movie about four teenagers who embark on the mission to catch their favourite bands gig, none other than Detroit Rock City. Talk about kicking things off on the right foot. When the song, ‘RPM’, kicks in it becomes obvious that Trust And Fall make their music fast and full of energy. The last two songs, ‘Adrian’ and ‘It’s Too Late’, finish the EP strongly and ensure the listener hits the repeat button. ‘Adrian’ includes a chorus that induces singing along. Starting things off slow and then kicking in with energy injected guitars is how ‘It’s Too Late’ begins, and the song also brings back memories of the great Bodyjar. ‘Elusive Days’ is a recording that manages to capture the energy that Trust And Fall are making a name for themselves with.

Trust And Fall are on the right path to replace the space left empty from bands such as One Dollar Short, Bodyjar and 28Days. ‘Elusive Days’ contains six high energy, melodic punk songs and is an impressive first step. Lets hope the next release is a giant leap.
